The driving force of this practice is a love for and curiosity about the anatomy and energy of movement and how our lifestyle choices contribute to health.

Pain, for example, is generally an outcome of bio-mechanical or bio-chemical imbalances that irritate pain sensors.  Since the way we interpret and experience pain is hugely influenced by how imbalances are limiting our lives, we need to consider the role of structures involved, as well as emotion, genomics, socio-economics, AND nutrition and/or other lifestyle influences as part of the overall picture.

As a functional medicine practitioner, Dr. Fishburn considers this bigger picture for possible root causes and incorporates them into her collaborative treatment strategies with you.  She partners with YOU to create the best strategies for the changes you are hoping for.  Sometimes, through no fault of our own, our DNA and/or major trauma are the biggest players in our current health status, but it is our habits and choices that define how they play out.  Our habits largely define the chronicity of our health issues.  By working with Dr. Fishburn, you will begin to experience how small changes can make a big difference in the way you move and feel, and the way you relate to yourself.

This practice aim is to restore health in balance: Wellness.
